Revivim held a one day conference dedicated to "Family, Tribe and Nation – Between Unity and Uniqueness" in the Hebrew University's Rabin building on Mount Scopus in December 2018.
The conference was held in partnership with The Ministry of Education and the Shalom Hartman Institute's Beeri Program. After short greetings, lectures were delivered by Prof. Elisheva Baumgarten of the Hebrew University's Department of Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry on "Parents, Children abd the Beginning of Schooling: From Medieval Ashkenaz to the 21st Century"; Prof. Nili Wazana of the Univeristy's Bible Department lectured about "Individual, Tribe and Nation in the Book of Judges" and Dr. Haim Peri of Derech Kfar shared his extensive knowledge and experience based on the educational model of Derech Kfar.
The lectures were followed by practical, parallel workshops relevant to teachers of Bible, Jewish Philosophy and Oral Law. The conference ended with an interesting and enjoyable musical performance dedicated to Piyutim led by Hacham David Menachem, who was accompanied by Avishai Naki.
