Revivim, in partnership with Israel's Ministry of Education and The Shalom Hartman Institute's Be'eri Program held a one day conference for Revivim's students and graduates and Jewish Studies teachers from throughout Israel, during Chanukah, on December 20th, 2017.The conference was dedicated to Between The 'King's Law' and The Israeli Knesset: Leadership, Government and Authority in the Past and Present. Keynote speakers were Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, Deputy President (Ret.) of the Supreme Court of Israel who spoke about Contemporary Issues Pertaining to Government and Law, and Dr. Roni Magidov of the Revivim Program, who spoke about Establishment and Governance in Teaching Bible. Workshops addressed a variety of topics, including, for example: Individualism and Government, Biblical Leaders and Public Criticism, Kingship vs Protest, Granting Israeli Citizenship to Immigrants and Refugees, Talmudic Approaches to State Law, and more. The conference culminated with The Book of the History of Man, a play of the Theo-Tron Ensemble, based on the stories of Genesis.
